Ghassan E. Abuyaghi

Dr. Ghassan Abuyaghi has a Doctorate degree in Management from Amman Arab University. His dissertation is titled “Emotional Intelligence as a Required Skill for Leaders – analysing the relationship between emotional intelligence and styles of leadership in the banking sector in Jordan”

He is experienced in the fields of SME and Microfinance lending, and Project financing. This vast experience was acquired in both private and public sectors. He was chosen for several senior positions and headed and served on 15 committees in both Private and Public Sectors.  The positions included Organizations General Manager, Vice Chairman at Development and Employment Fund, Deputy General Manager at Bindar for Trading and Investment, General Manager at Ahli Microfinance Company and Assistant General Manager At Jordan Ahli Bank.  In addition, he served on 6 Boards of Directors in both Private and Public Organizations, at different capacities such as Chairman, Vice-Chairman, or Board Member.  

Dr. Abuyaghi is a certified trainer.  He has over 1250 training hours and trained locally and regionally about 40 training courses. He is an experienced lecturer has about 20 years of lecturing to postgraduate and undergraduate students in managerial sciences topics. Lectured at Prince Hussein Technical University, University of Jordan, Princess Sumayya University for Technology, German – Jordanian University, and the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Studies. His training courses were presented locally and internationally in locations such as Syria, Libya, Cairo, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. His training subjects included Sstrategic Planning, Accounting and Finance, Budgeting and Forecasting, Leadership, Human Resource Management Negotiation Skills, Banking and Finance, Facilitation, Education, Vocational Training, Monitoring and Evaluation and Reporting and Information Dissemination, Fundraising,

In 2012, he published research in International Journal of Management and Business Studies titled “Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Styles: proposing an Evaluation, Selection, and Training Framework”.  He also published an article in Ad-Doustour Newspaper Development and Sacrifice Needed. This was in addition to several papers presented in different topics such as Methods of Financing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Obstacle Facing the Operation of Arab Financing Funds, Importance of Credit Investigation and Feasibility Studies for the Success of MSMEs, Strategies for Supporting and Financing Small and Mid-size Enterprise, Specialized Lending for SMEs, and Entrepreneurship and its Role in the Economy.
